Timothy Elijah Poxson, AKA Tim Poxson signed a petition to abolish the public sex offender registry, along with many other people who claim to have respectable jobs. Beside his name, it says (retired police officer). The fact is that Poxson is a registered sex offender himself. It's no wonder that he would like to abolish the registry. Then, he could simply operate under the guise of a retired policeman, and wouldn't have to deal with the pesky business of being known as someone who forced a child to have sex with him, which is likely very bothersome for him. He was convicted of criminal sexual conduct involving force or coercion.
He is also a member of another activist group SOclear Media Productions.
