Phillip Distasio was known on BoyChat as Sparks, but he was better known as Brother Petty (a self-professed friar) who ran a school from his Wooster Road apartment that he shared with Gort. He used the web site called Class Cutters or Arcadian Fields as a means to lure the children who were usually autistic. He is currently serving life sentences for raping those autistic children.
Prior to his arrest, Sparks didn't frequent the BoyChat forums board like he used to. He was living with and romantically involved with Gort who committed suicide two weeks after Sparks' arrest. He also met with another criminal from BoyChat, Robbie, on at least one occasion, International BoyLove Day.

The Big Lie
Sparks' claim to be a minister, was by and large one man's effort to create a world around himself which would cater to all of his own needs, under the guise of providing something meaningful to his community. Essentially he was seeking to provide a safe haven for his own pot smoking activities, and more importantly, to provide a pool of children which would surround him daily (a pedophile's heaven, so to speak). In the following link, Distasio explains his "non-profit" to the people he had hoped to sell his idea to, that is, the people who would donate money and marijuana, and in a way, their own children. It reads like a message from a man who seeks to become the leader of a new cult.

That quote truly puts the charges and sentencing Distasio received into perspective, clearly showing how it all came to be.
